When a new customer came to us via our website, we knew this would be the start of a unique adventure. Our Combilift C5000 range of forklift trucks had caught the interest of a Dutch entrepreneur who was looking for an efficient solution for his warehouse. An initial exchange of emails turned into a proposal for a video conference, so that the customer could see the forklift ‘live’ via camera. Being able to virtually inspect the equipment allowed for a better assessment of its condition and functionality.
After the video call, the customer decided to come in person. This was the moment when we began to understand that this collaboration would go beyond the standard framework of business transactions. Meeting the customer from the Netherlands, inspecting, talking and exchanging experiences facilitated a better understanding of his needs and expectations.
Finally, it was time to deliver the forklift to the Netherlands. As standard, we helped with the transport issue, but in the case of the Combilift C5000 LPG forklift, we had to take extra measures. We removed the mast, as its height when folded was over 3 metres.
And finally, we embarked on a wonderful journey. The Netherlands, a country known for its tulips and tall people, became the place where our Combilift sidecar adventure took on new dimensions. Walking through the Dutch streets, we couldn’t help but notice the lack of curtains in the windows. This is testament to the very open culture of the Dutch and it was with this openness that our customer greeted us. It is also worth mentioning that the Netherlands is the country with the highest number of bicycles per capita in the world. It is fascinating to see how the Dutch use this mode of transport, just as our customers benefit from the versatility of the Combilift diesel forklift for a variety of warehouse tasks.
It is also worth mentioning that the Netherlands is ranked the fifth happiest country in the world according to the World Happiness Report 2023. This positive energy and satisfaction with life is in line with our approach to our customers.

We wanted the customer to have full control over the use of the C5000 4-way multidirectional forklift, so we sent them detailed instructions on how to install the mast when the forklift arrived. This was a way of ensuring complete satisfaction with the purchase.
